Destined For The Throne Room

Destined For The Throne Room

By Pastor Steve and Karina Maile

Hebrews 4 :16 NKJV

“Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”

1- Come boldly to the throne of grace.

How do you come into His presence? Do you come fearful or terrified and anxious? Or Do you come with a religious spirit and not in faith? What child comes to his Daddy begging? If you are a born again believer, then God is your Father. We need to go boldly into His presence, Hebrews 10:35 also tells us, “do not throw away your confidence, which has great reward.” Pray with confidence not with arrogance or pride, our faith is not on our own righteousness but on the Holy Blood of Christ. There’s no other way for us to approach God except through the Blood of His Son Jesus, if you are under the Blood then you are marked for destiny.

A- Pray in the Spirit

In 1 Thessalonians 5:17 says, “pray without ceasing,” This means we need to make our lives a constant prayer. If Jesus, God’s beloved Son, spent long hours in prayer and He spent whole nights praying, how much more should we. The baptism of the Holy Spirit is essential for throne room praying, because we can pray in the language and power of the Spirit. Many times we do not know what to pray or how to pray about something, we should then pray in tongues and let the Spirit lead us, He knows how to intercedes through us and make our prayers effective. (Romans 8:26)

If you are filled with the Holy Ghost you will love to pray. Sadly the prayer meetings are the least attended meeting in church. Throne room praying will change and revolutionise your life, and throne room prayers are what changes the world, don’t neglect it.

B- Pray the Word.

The Will of God is revealed in the Word of God. We must know God’s Word to pray God’s will. The throne room prayers are based on the Word of God. There is nothing that we will face that the Scriptures doesn’t talk about and there is nothing that we will go through that the Word of God doesn’t answer. Pray the bad thoughts, negative feelings and temptations away with the truth of God’s Word. Psalm 91:4 NKJV says, “He shall cover you with His feathers and under His wings you shall take refuge, His truth shall be your shield and buckler.” We have protection in God’s Word if we stand strong and hold on to it. No matter what circumstances or people may say or what we think ourselves, God’s Word is truth and can protect us from the lies of the enemy.

Let’s love the Word of God, let’s feed on it, let’s meditate on it and let’s study it! The Rhema Word of God is what quickens our spirit.

For example in Matthew 9:37-39 says, we need to pray to the Lord of the harvest that He might send labourers to the harvest. Let’s continue to pray for people to be saved and come to know Jesus Christ all over the world. There’s not doubt than when we pray for souls, we get affected after being in the throne room face to face with Jesus, and we cannot wait to tell someone about the Lord Jesus Christ and be a witness of the truth. The true understanding of the Gospel and good works are an outflow of throne room prayers, we need to pray down the Glory of God!

2- Obtaining grace.

Hebrews 4 :16 says we need come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. And James 2:13 NKJV tells us, “For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgement.” There is a judgement but thank God for His mercy today. We need His mercy and we need to find grace, why? Because we can’t do anything without the grace of God. We are saved by His grace through faith and we need continual grace on our lives to overcome every difficulty as we continue to lead others to Christ. Take your place at the throne room and come into God’s mercy and God’s grace.

3- Keep yourself undefiled.

1 Peter 3:15 NKJV

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defence to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear.”

The Bible tells us to sanctify the Lord God in our hearts, sanctification means growing into holiness. God will not have fellowship with unholiness. Are you a holy christian or are you an un-sanctified Christian? The reason many won’t pray is because they are un-sanctified. They do things in the dark and keep unclean habits in secret. What are you beholding? What are you looking at with your eyes? Why in the world would you be worshipping anything else except the Lord? Remember the Sunday school song that says, “Oh be careful little eyes what you see, For the Father up above is looking down with love, oh be careful little eyes what to see,” and it goes on to say, “ oh be careful little ears what you hear, oh be careful little mouth what you say and oh be careful little hands what you do and little feet where you go.” The Father is watching us, don’t be fooled thinking you can keep your sin secret, sooner or later it will come out to the light, that’s why you must willingly confess it and forsake it, ask the Father through Jesus Christ to sanctify your heart and life.

4- Keep yourself under godly authority

God has set in the Church Five Fold ministries for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry. These are Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers that need to be working together for the same purpose. Any and every ministry has to come into divine order by being planted and serving in a local church. We are seeing a trend today of many Christians and even ministries with big following not planted and rooted in the local church, this is un-biblical, the truth is we must be planted in a local church, we must serve others, be dead to selfish ambitions, and be discipled and growing in the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. So many are self appointed in the Body of Christ, this needs to stop and let the Lord appoint and approve us into the ministry, this gets done in the local Church.

The main anointing of the Five Fold ministry is to disciple others, your gifting or your anointing is given by God but don’t let you gifting exceed your character. If you are called into the Five Fold ministry it will be seen by the humility in your life and your ministry would of be proven and tested by God. Do not receive anyone into your house that does not hold to the doctrine of Jesus Christ. Don’t fellowship with people who are unchurched because the spirit that is on them will cling to you, don’t be mean to them but don’t allow that spirit to get on you, and if you think their friendship won’t affect me, it probably already has. Repent! Stop wasting your time in things out of order.

It is only by the grace of God that we can submit to the Lord and to the authority of the Five Fold ministry. So if we are not submitted to godly authority you need to repent and humble yourselves and ask the Lord to change your heart. Jesus humbled Himself and made Himself of no reputation as Philippians 2:5-8 tells us, and if He did it, how much more should we. Our calling is a humility calling not to glory in it, it’s the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ who does it in us.

Philippians 2:5-8 NKJV

Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.”

We all need to pray for our pastors every single day, they need your love, support and prayer

The apostle Paul told the churches to pray for him. Take time to pray for your pastor every day.

5- Stay under God’s shadow

Psalm 91:1-2 NKJV

“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.””

If you are not praying you are playing. No man’s ministry is greater than his prayer life. Get under the shadow of the wings of the Almighty, it’s not hard work to pray, it’s glorious! If you been called of God beloved, you are approved by God to get into the throne room of Heaven, and while you are in there, someone is there with you too, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. It’s time to detonate and release throne room prayers for nations and for people groups to come to the knowledge of Christ and bow their knees to the Father. Allow the Spirit of God to make you evangelistically salty.

Zechariah 2:5 says “For I,’ says the Lord, ‘will be a wall of fire all around her, and I will be the glory in her midst.’ ”The praying Church will succeed, because His glory is in our midst. Be a throne room dweller.
