God is doing a New Thing
Isaiah 43:18-19 AMP
“Do not remember the former things, Or ponder the things of the past. Listen carefully, I am about to do a new thing, Now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even put a road in the wilderness, Rivers in the desert.”
In order to come into the New, we must forget the old and not even consider it. Many times memories of the past want to come to our minds, but when it does the Holy Spirit can help us to reject those thoughts.
Yesterday is gone and it’s nothing we can do about it.
In the verse above says that God is going to do a New Thing, and we must be ready for it and be part of it because the Lord always does good things, He does marvellous things.
The verse also says, that the New is going to “spring forth,” which is something suddenly and immediately. The New will come into your life without you realising.
When we refer to the “New,” we are not saying new things in the material area, but new in the realm of the Spirit, the newness of life from the Spirit of God.
Here are some New Things we can receive from the Lord according to these verses.
1- Compassion and Faithfulness
“Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.”
Lamentations 3:22-23 NKJV
2- New Wine
“Nor do they put new wine into old wineskins, or else the wineskins break, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But they put new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.””
Matthew 9:17 NKJV
3- New Covenant
“For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father’s kingdom.””
Matthew 26:28-29 NKJV
4- New Covenant
“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.”
John 13:34 NKJV
5- New Start
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
II Corinthians 5:17 NKJV
6- New Life
“Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”

8- New Name

Revelation 2:17 NKJV
9- New Song
“And they sang a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,”
Revelation 5:9 NKJV
10- New Heaven and Earth
“Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea.”
Revelation 21:1 NKJV
Keys that will position you to receive the New things from God in your life
Forget the former things and don’t even consider them. When you begin to rehearse the past, you forfeit your future and you don’t let the Holy Spirit do the New thing He has for you.
Praise the Lord in every circumstance
Pray without ceasing
In everything give thanks.
I Thessalonians 5:16-22 NKJV
“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies. Test all things; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil.”
II Corinthians 10:5 NKJV
“casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,”
Be expectant of the New! Keep your relationship with the Lord fresh and stay in that first love. Praise Him all the way.
